Relax after a hard day on the slopes or hiking over the mountains, in our sundrenched alpine apartment, with spectacular views down the Lauterbrunnen Valley.
The balcony with table and seating area will make you linger longer than planned as you drink in the stunning and ever changing vistas towards Mürren, Grutschalp and beyond. Whether is it is the sunrise or the sunset that holds your attention, the views from the balcony will not disappoint.
The apartment’s warm and sunny living area has been newly furnished with a feather-cushioned comfy sofa and two arm chairs, scattered with cushions and throws. Perfect to collapse in and snooze! The coffee table is filled with books, magazines and games, enticing you to relax and enjoy the mountain views from the windows and discuss past and future exploits in the mountains. The pine-tabled eating area is bright and cosy and is an ideal placed to enjoy a fondue with your own customised mix of cheeses from the village or surrounding mountain dairies. It is also a great place to pull your maps out and retrace routes hiked or skied and plan those still to be conquered the next day! The French doors that open out onto a balcony from the living area, reveal mesmerising views of the surrounding mountain peaks and down the glacial carved valley. Why not make use of the iPod speakers provided and create some ambience with your own melodic melodies? And once the sun has set, or if the outside weather is discouraging, take advantage of the recently installed flatscreen television with cable channel link, offering viewing in English, French, German and Italian.
The chalet provides sleeping accommodation for 4/5 persons in its two wood-panelled bedrooms; the larger of the two bedrooms has two single beds with duvets and pillows and has direct access through French doors onto the balcony. What could be more luxurious than morning tea, watching the sun rise over the mountains on your own private balcony? The second bedroom has two adult- sized bunk beds with duvets and pillows but also has the possibility of using a third, drop-down bed which is stored in the wall. With only two occupants, this room is excellent for 2 adults sharing, however with the third bed in use, we would advise that it is more suited to child occupancy.
The clean, modern, kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and fridge with freezer compartment, an extensive range of kitchen utensils and crockery-all you need for quick, easy, holiday cooking. There is a fondue set for your use and a kettle and a large array of plastic cups and plates for children.
And what could be better than soaking tired muscles in a full-sized bath after a hard day on the mountain? Our bath (with shower attachment) is perfect for lounging in, letting the mountain water sooth the aches and pains. The bathroom is also equipped with a toilet and basin with storage cabinet above.
The entrance hall to the apartment offers plenty of hanging and storage space for footwear and outdoor clothing. No need to hang wet items in the bathroom and take up precious space. There are also umbrellas provided for your use should inclement mountain weather takes you by surprise.
We know how sporting holidays are always accompanied by piles of equipment and so in order to maximise your living space, we have made a lockable ski/equipment cabin available for the storage of your skis and other sports equipment which is located just outside the chalet entrance. No more tripping over snowshoes, skis, bicycles and rollerblades!
The apartment is an excellent holiday place for families, especially as it provides the added bonus of a separate, self-contained studio in the same chalet for those who are considering taking grandparents or additional help with them. We all know extra hands are invaluable on holiday, but perhaps you would like to offer grandparents a place to retreat or some personal space to an au pair at the end of the day. In this case, please have a look at our studio apartment which is on the ground floor of the chalet, with its own separate entrance and is fully self-contained. It offers the ideal solution to both parties – close but on hand.
We are also able to provide a baby high chair and cot if requested. Please note that the apartment is non-smoking and that pets are not permitted.
